Your Tour Guide
My name is Andrew Hicks, I've been interested in motorcyles all of my life but I was never allowed to have one as a kid. After I became a grown up and moved out of my parent's house I bought my first motorcycle, soon after my dad got into motorcycling and my family now supports me in my endevors. Since I got my first motorcycle in 2004, I have logged over 40,000 miles in the seat. Born in Middle Tennessee I quickly fell in love with the mountains of East Tennessee and moved into them. Riding is not just something that I do it is a way of life. I spend most all of my free time exploring the roads of the Smoky Mountains and would like to introduce my clients to the great roads that the Smokies provide.
Chase vehicle...
In order to offer our customers the lowest prices possible we do not use a chase vehicle, the operating costs for this would increase our overhead by several hundred dollars per day. If you have a mechanical failure or an accident we do have someone on standby to come pick you and your bike up and deliver it back to our headquarters or your local destination of choice.
What should I bring???
Change of clothes for each day.
*Bike in good mechanical condition with fresh tires.
*Camera
*Ear plugs
*Tools to perform any maintenance that may be needed on the road.
*Comfortable riding gear.
*Rain gear (it does rain quite sporadically in the Smokies.)
Rain policy...
Showers are quite common in the Smokey Mountains, most often these storms are short or light, we usually will ride through light rain and during downpours we will find shelter. If it is just storming too hard we will not ride, this decision will be up to the riders, most importantly we don't want anyone to ride in any condition which they do not feel comfortable.
Photography and video is included
Photos of you and your group will be taken throughout the tour. These photos will be posted on an online photo hosting site and you will have access to full resolution pics at no additional charge. These pictures will include all kinds of candid shots taken throughout your tour, we also can do action shots! We also use GoPro Hero cameras to capture the experience of your tour so that you can show your friends and family video of you riding! *Disclaimer* We are not professional photographers. We do get some pretty good pictures from time to time, we offer this service as one of our little extras we throw in to make sure that you have an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Drug and alcohol policy...
With the safety of everyone in mind we will not tollerate any drinking and riding. We are riding treacherous mountian roads with lots of curves and alcohol does not fit into the mix. After the kickstands are down for the day you are more than welcome to indulge in a few drinks, we just ask that you do not put others in harms way by drinking and riding. If at anytime you are suspected of being intoxicated while riding your tour is over, this policy is for the safety of everyone.
